THE POWER OF DENIM

  • 2 min read

Oh the power of denim - they feel like sunshine or an old friend! They can be so many things: sexy, flattering, edgy, comfy, long lasting, hardworking, and even get better with age and wear. Our jeans truly take on the spirit of the body that wears them.

Growing up in California, I’ve always been a denim girl through and through - wearing it truly makes me happy, feel confident, sexy and down to earth! When I’m not in my athleisure wear or flowy dresses, I'm LOVING and LIVING in jean "anything": Shirts, cut-offs, jackets and jeans are my uniform! It looks good on everyone, never goes out of style, and feels like an old friend when you put it on.

I’m sure you have, or still do own a pair of Levis - the cult classic. Originally invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873 Jeans are named after the city of Genoa in Italy, a place where cotton corduroy called ‘jean or jeane’ was manufactured. And if you’ve followed me for a while you know how much I adore everything Italian - the culture, the style, the salt of the earth people, the mineral rich soil, the food and wine, the insane olive oil,  fascia foods  and principles of longevity living.

Investing in some high quality denim pieces is the best and keeping them soft and fresh with The Laundress Denim Wash formulated to clean, soften and preserve denim or one of my favorites is to freshen jeans with the Fabric Fresh Classic is fantastic in between washes!

The Laundress products are one of my absolute favorite home go-tos for caring for the items I love. They also smell divine. As with all products these days, many of us want to know exactly how ‘clean’ clean is? Laundress states “...we only use the best and safest plant-derived ingredients to have the optimum cleaning and fabric care results as well as being safe for ourselves and our loved ones.”
